WoW Authenticators Sold Out

Several people are wondering why the WoW Authenticator offered on the Blizzard Entertainment website has been sold out. The WoW Authenticator has been helping people secure their World of Warcraft accounts. The small electronic device simply generates a new code every 30 seconds to help further secure the integrity of a Battle.net account.

At first the devices seemed to be working well. Many people decided to buy an Authenticator after the rise of account hacks in the last year or so. While the device did work well for a long time, we now find that many people are reporting hacks with the device.

The recent rise in account hacks has also been the leading cause of these Authenticators to be sold out. Many World of Warcraft players have long thought the Authenticators seemed like a new way for Blizzard Entertainment to make money.

Many online business are able to keep their customer accounts secure. You rarely ever hear from someone's online banking account or someone's PayPal account being hacked. The lack of security in which Blizzard Entertainment has provided their customers with is disturbing.

The reason Blizzard can go on abusing their customers is because their customers are vary invested in their games. World of Warcraft players spend several hours a week playing the game and they meet friends and develop relationships with other players. Vary few World of Warcraft players will quit playing over having an account hacked or having to spend a few dollars to purchase an Authenticator. This is where Blizzard can take advantage and make millions more on their already popular game.

The idea that Blizzard is unable to keep these devices in stock is crazy. The WoW authenticator is not at all a complicated device and there should be several companies in China bidding for Blizzard's business. If one company is failing, Another should be able to pick up. Ironically Blizzard has always had their Authenticators made in China and China happens to be the leading country responsible for the majority of account hacks.

The WoW authenticators being sold out has caused many people to try out the mobile authenticator. The problem with both of these Authenticator types is that they simply do not protect your account 100%. There will always be ways around them and the only way to stay on top of the hackers is to keep up-to-date with the newest strategies for account hacking.
