A Look At The World of Warcraft Characters

World of Warcraft is the latest fantasy Warcraft universe game. The actions take place within Azeroth, the Warcraft world. The game is released by Blizzard Entertainment and is the fourth Warcraft universe game, the first being Warcraft: Orcs and Humans, released way back in 1994.

World of Warcraft actions, however, happened some four years after the events wrapped up in the third game Warcraft III: The Frozen Throne. This multiplayer online game where the players can role-play, stepping into the shoes of the various Warcraft universe characters, has proved vastly popular among online gamers. The World of Warcraft characters have similarly caught the fancy of the gamers in a short time.

At World of Warcraft, you can choose what kind of hero you would like to impersonate. The first thing to do, however, is to select what race to play. Each race has its own set of characters. You can choose to be one amongst them according to your taste. The characters go through various classes and as you overcome challenges, your character gets to master more spells and skills. The number of skills your World of Warcraft character will master depends on the class he is in.

The most favorite World of Warcraft characters include warriors, warlocks, druids, shamans, rogues, victors, paladins, mages, hunters and deathknights. Deathknights are from the first hero class in World of Warcraft. They are heavily armed and know the mostly deadly and lethal magic. They are no longer servants of Lich King either.

Then there are warriors who are the most fearsome in battlefields. With a single blow, they can wreak havoc on their enemies and with their battle shouts can easily bring out the best abilities from their allies.

Rogues are useful for stealth and their ability to open hidden chests and locked doors. They are the most deadly assassins and can strike their enemies from where they are most unprepared. Warlocks can master the powers of flame and shadow and can summon demons to help themselves and their allies and to damage and cripple their enemies. They can also plague their adversaries with curses or diseases.

Then there are druids, hunters and mages, all of what are powerful World of Warcraft characters, too. Druids can master nature and can come up with the most unusual concoctions which can perform an array of miracles, including bringing the dead back from the underworld and restoring them to life. They can also shapeshift into cats, sea lions or great bears.

Hunters have deadly skills and precision with their rifles and bows. In addition, they can tame the wild beasts at will and then employ their power to assist their allies in battle. Mages, paladins and practices are also capable of many unique powers.

You can choose any of these characters to represent yourself and get immersed in the mythical universe of World of Warcraft.

Full Version Risk Game – Review of the Free Full Version Risk Download For PC

This review of the full version Risk I game download includes details of how it is played and the benefits of playing this Risk game download on your PC. The popular classic board game is a world domination strategy competition, where the board is a map of the world separated into territories. The main aim is to use your troops to take over all the territories and basically dominate the map with your army. The computer adaptation is an excellent reproduction. And with the extra benefits of playing this electronic version, makes it well worth downloading.

In this Risk PC game adaptation, you begin with naming your General and choosing 2 opponents to play against. Either other people playing on the same PC or computer controlled (A.I.) generals. There are 16 different generals to choose from, all named after famous generals from history. They are each given a rating, so if you are newbie you would opt for a general with a 1 star rating for ‘easy’ level whilst once you have had more practise you may want tougher opposition and so you can choose a general with a 5 star rating.

Just like the board game, all the players are given the same amount of troops which you will distribute around the board map within the territories you own. But in this version there are 2 modes; you can choose to share out the countries using the classic board method called the Territory Claim mode or the Random Deal mode which is where you allow the PC to share out the territories.

Once all the players’ armies have been placed on the map, you start the game. The aim is to dominate the world map, which you do by trying to overtake each opposing army that is in a neighbouring territory to yours.

You start your turn by choosing which bordering territory you want to attack, making sure you have at least two groups of armies in the territory you are attacking from. The fight for the territory begins. This is done by both the attacker and defender rolling the dice, which is done graphically by clicking on ‘roll’ to roll the dice. Whoever gets the highest number on the dice wins that battle, which results in knocking out one of the losers army. The attacker can choose to roll again until they completely defeat the defenders armies or until the attacker runs out of armies (remember that the attacker must have a minimum of 2 armies in the attacking country).

You can choose to attack a number of countries within your go and once you have finished, it is the next players turn to make attacks to try and take over countries. Like the original you get reinforcements if you own a whole continent and collect bonus cards which you can then trade in for extra cavalry, infantry or artillery.

The additional benefits to playing this full Risk I game on your PC include:

    • You can play against the computer with A.I. generals – so you can play it whenever you want
    • There is background music, sound effects, voice-overs for the A.I. generals and animation that enhance and make the game more fun
    • You can speed up the setting of the armies, by choosing the Random deal mode
    • With the full version download of this Risk game you can play unlimited Risk games on your PC
    • It’s great to play for a bit of nostalgia for fans of the original
    • With the 16 computer generated generals you can choose the level of difficulty of each of the games, with a choice of easy (1 star) to hard (5 stars) ranked General opponents each named after a famous general from history such as Napoleon and Wellington!

This computer adaptation of one of the most popular board games is easy to pick up, fun to play and has some well thought out extras. So if you are looking to download full version games based on classic board games, then this Risk game download, it is a great choice for fans of the original table top version and strategy gamers alike.

Tips And Tricks For Interior Paintings

Your house is the reflection of your personality and lifestyle. You can give your home a new look with interior painting. To do so, you must take the advice of experts if you decide to paint the interior of your house. In order to make a house look good, both from interior and exterior, a homeowner tries his / her best to give it a new touch of color and design. If you paint the walls of your rooms with a coat of neutral colors, it will surely be a good move.

To get a beautifully painted interior, follow the following steps properly.

    Step 1: Prime Time

A primer coat should be applied on the wall to get a proper new painting done correctly. Spot prime may be chosen by you for the walls with flat-paint. These types of flat-painted walls only need minor repairs. A sealer or primer / sealer must be used on the walls with larger areas of patching plaster. Priming is done the same way as the painting. Go for painting only after the primer dries.

    Step 2: Ceiling Brushwork

Begin the task with the ceiling. The perimeter and unpainted areas should have covered first around the fixtures.

    Step 3: Ready to Roll

Start with the section of the ceiling that measures about six square feet. A series of overlapping "W" strokes must be used by you, first from right to left and then from left to right. If any other finish is used other than flat, begin the paint with the entire ceiling. Go for two square sections at a time in case of very large ceilings. Use overlapping, one-directional and non-diagonal strokes so that the paint blends perfectly.

Next, the same process should be repeated with the walls. 1-1 / 2 inches of all corners should have covered on the walls. Apply the final non-diagonal strokes from top to bottom.

    Step 4: Wall Brushwork

If you are not equipped with an edging tool, the perimeter of the ceiling must be masked with painting tape. Paint the unclovered areas and the upper perimeter of the walls as well.

    Step 5: Back for Seconds?

Go for the second coat only after the first coat dries. Label for the recoaning guidelines of the manufacturer should be checked.

Step 6: Trim, baseboards, windows and doors

Newly painted wall surfaces should be protected with the help of a paint edger or painting tape when the wood work is painted. A rolled-up newspaper can wedge open the door by placing the cloths underneath it. A flat door requires a roller, while a door needs a brush.

Follow the above methods to make your old house look like a new one with the touch of fresh paint.

How To Get the Painting You Want From the Artist You Know

There’s something to be said for a big, blank wall. It may not seem like much, but it can be whatever you want it to be. The possibilities are endless.

The potential is the attractive part of a blank wall. But while potential is great, it doesn’t amount to anything until it DOES amount to something.

And if you’re waiting to find that special piece of fine art to hang, ask yourself: how’s that coming along? How’s all that waiting panning out?

Stop waiting. Have a piece created for you and your blank wall. It can be a mural or a series of photographs or an oil painting — again, the possibilities are endless.

Commission a painting. Get a professional artist to do it for you. It’ll be one of a kind, it will appreciate in value over time, and your blank wall will, at last, amount to something.

Find the Right Artist on the Internet

Artists aren’t hard to find anymore. Most have websites that show off their work, so you can determine if that’s the style for you. Their websites will also let you know if they are open to individual commissions. (Even if the website doesn’t say they are, it never hurts to reach out by phone or email and ask that artist!)

You can also search visually-focused social media platforms like Pinterest for new works from working artists.

    Communication

Once you’ve found your artist and opened some communication, it’s incredibly important to keep communication open and flowing. Talk with the artist about your ideas — brainstorm with them if you like, and if they like — and be as clear as possible about what you really want.

It helps to have examples to give the artist, so collect some pictures of works you like and organize them in advance. Don’t feel bad — this actually helps the creative process. You’re not being unoriginal, and nobody’s getting ripped off. Your painting will still be your own one-of-a-kind commissioned piece.

    Payments & Contracts

Artists are often afraid to talk money, so be upfront with what you’re willing to spend and make sure you get everything settled well before the painting begins.

Contracts help keep things clean and friendly. You’ll need to understand the terms and conditions before writing your first check, because there’s no “undo” button for real paint.

This is why a lot of people are hesitant to commission a painting — the fear that they might overpay for something that can’t be undone. But remember: number one, that artist works in a free market and you’re paying market value; and number two, whatever the artist creates today will be more valuable tomorrow, because commissioned art appreciates over time (just like a house). So, like any home upgrade, you’ll need to sign contracts, and your investment will pay off.

It’s fair to pay a portion up front and a portion on the backend; this helps the artist share that responsibility, and keeps everybody honest. Most professional artists will have their own preferences, and it’ll save you all time if you respect their preferences from the onset, but make sure you each have a reason to stay in touch while it’s being worked on.

    Shipping & Handling

Shipping and handling should also be discussed beforehand. Shipping a fragile work of art, even through just one city, can become very expensive (NEVER have it shipped without insurance of some kind). Don’t let yourself be surprised at the cost of shipping. There’s nothing worse than an unpleasant shock to take the joy out of something beautiful you just acquired.

Once you get those details compiled and straightened out between both parties, let that artist get to work! Your new painting will become the artistic focus of your home, and your guests will marvel.

Master the Skills of Cardboard Art and Be Successful

Why is Cardboard Used in Artwork?
In the world of hyperlinked visual media, high tech, and digitized technology a small number of artists have been observed to start having an interest in the old, off-line and not so precious metals and papers if it is hand dirtying ceramics or the mystery interest in using cardboard.

Artists have started using cardboard to create aesthetic, conceptual, vibrant and quirky works of painting, sculpture and environmental intervention.

Reasons for the use of the stiff brown paper in the making of precious artwork are as diverse as the works themselves. Since it does not have a specific format that states that it should be used in a particular way, so the artists find versatile ways to express themselves.

The important element of cardboard is its contemporary hipness. Cardboard art ascends, although slowly, in the society due to its economic and environmental advantages.

One dominant character of cardboard is it recyclability if it is not covered with wax or any chemical. This ability to recycle provides several opportunities to reuse the cardboard again and again.

It is used in different forms and states depending on the need of the designer. Most of the times old cardboard that is rumpled often found on streets, is preferred. While some are off the view to use any kind of it in their work.

Different Ways To Use Cardboard In Creative Ways

    • Homemade baby and toddler toys
    • Cardboard flowers
    • Cardboard shapes collage
    • Stationary holder
    • DIY cardboard hexagon floating shelves
    • Jewelry box
    • Picture frames
    • Makeup box
    • Abstract designs
    • Hanging art
    Journal from a cereal box

You can use your creativity and come up anything you like there is not a hard and fast rule to only make crafts that are mentioned above.

    Working With Cardboard
Here are some ways that you can use to master your skills in cardboard craft

    1. Cutting a Cardboard

The first and foremost thing that should be given the most of the attention is that you should know what type of tool to use in order to cut the cardboard in the best possible way.

People often go for using a pair of scissors, well that's where it goes all wrong, using scissors is undutely not the best way and you end up with a not so clean cutting. X-Acto knives are the best in this field and can be used to cut out detailed designs in a clean and proper way.

For thicker cardboards using a hacksaw is a good option as it works very effectively and is a fast way to cut. Laser cutters are used when complex designs are concerned because they have a satisfying result, but do not end up burning it in the process.

    2. How to Get Rid of Frayed Edges

When you cut out cardboard you often have to deal with frayed edges, the rough edges that are caused because of the saw or scissors.

There is a simple and easy trick that can be used to handle these rough edges and that is using a sandwich. Sandpaper can be used to smooth out the rough edges and you can accomplish in giving your craft a professional look.

    3. Painting the Cardboard in the Right Way

The plain old brown looking corrugated paper is not very attractive; paint it to showcase your creative, aesthetical and artistic skills. But people often find it difficult to paint and end up with not so attractive smudgy paint splotches. But there are ways to get rid of this problem.

The best way is to paint it with a base color and then paint it because by doing so the colors will pop up and give neat look. Using white or beige as a base color is a good option making the paint look vibrant and outstanding. Then comes another problem ie should one use a matte color or a glossy one.

Well, that is not of a very big trouble you can go with any texture you like but if you want to be on the safe side then mix both matte and gloss and use it. It will give a look to the project. Do not use the same brush for different purposes; do not do the mistake of painting the small designs with a wide brush, the one that is used for the basic painting.

    4. How to use a Glue

Glue often comes in different textures with different purposes we have hot glue, glue stick and Elmer's glue in the market.

It is a common notice among people that almost any glue can be used for sticking things together, but people also always end up destroying their craft because of their blind faith in that notice.

    Hot glue can …

There are many ways that a person can purchase original artworks. Original arts are quite costly. This is the reason why a person should be careful not to purchase counterfeit arts. There have been many cases where a person ends up purchasing fake or duplicate arts.

Most people tend to purchase artworks directly by visiting the artist or any legalised agents. This is because they will have a perfect view of the art before deciding to purchase it. However; this process can be quite tiresome because a person needs to move around looking at different arts.

Social Media Marketing, Truth and Lies

Social Media Marketing seems to be the latest buzz word for anyone looking to increase their online presence and sales, but is Social Media Marketing (SMM) all it is cracked up to be?

S.M.M companies are now springing up all over the place these days and they are telling anyone that will listen about how incredibly important social media like Facebook twitter and YouTube are to your business but, for the average small to medium sized business, does marketing to social networks really live up to all the hype? Is spending a small fortune on hiring a SMM company really worth it? And has anyone really done their research on this before they hired someone to set up there Facebook business page? Some SMM companies are setting up things like Facebook business pages (which are free) for $600 to $1,000 or more and telling their clients that they don’t need a website because Facebook is the biggest social network in the world and everybody has a Facebook account. Now while it may be true that Facebook is the largest social network in the world and yes, Facebook’s members are potential consumers, the real question is are they actually buying? Social media marketing companies are all too happy to point out the positives of social media like how many people use Facebook or how many tweets were sent out last year and how many people watch YouTube videos etc. but are you getting the full picture? I once sat next to a SMM “expert” at a business seminar who was spruiking to anyone who came within earshot about the amazing benefits of setting up a Facebook business page for small business (with him of course) and selling on Facebook. So, intrigued by the aforementioned “experts” advice I looked him up on Facebook only to find he had only 11 Facebook friends (not a good start). So being the research nut that I am, I decided to take a good look into SMM in regard to selling to see if it actually worked, who did it work for and if it did why did Social Media Marketing work for them? And should business rely so heavily on social networks for sales?

As a web developer I was constantly (and now increasingly) confronted with several social networking challenges when potential clients would say that having a website sounds good but they had a Facebook business page and had been told by various sources (the ever present yet anonymous “they”) that social networks were the thing to do, but after discussing their needs it became quite clear that those potential clients didn’t actually know why they needed social networks or SMM to generate online sales, They just wanted it. For small and medium sized business I always recommended building a quality website over any type of social network, why? Well it’s simple really because social media is Social Media, and social Networks are Social Networks they are not business media and business networks (that would be more like LinkedIn). I know that sounds simple but it’s true and the statistics back it up. The fact is that social media marketing fails to tell you that Facebook is a social network not a search engine and despite the number of Facebook users and Google users being around the same, people don’t use Facebook in the same way that they use a search engine like Google (which has around half the search engine market), Yahoo and Bing to search for business or products. They use it to keep in touch with family and friends or for news and entertainment. In a recent study done by the IBM Institute for Business Value around 55% of all social media users stated that they do not engage with brands over social media at all and only around 23% actually purposefully use social media to interact with brands. Now out of all the people who do use social media and who do interact with brands whether purposefully or not, the majority (66%) say they need to feel a company is communicating honestly before they will interact.

So how do you use social media marketing? And is it even worth doing?

Well first of all I would say that having a well optimized website is still going to bring you far more business that social media in most cases especially if you are a small to medium sized local business because far more people are going to type in “hairdresser Port Macquarie” into a search engine like Google, Yahoo and Bing than they ever will on any Social Media Site and if you don’t have a website you’re missing out on all of that potential business. However despite all the (not so good) statistics I still think it is still a …

    World of Warcraft: An Introduction

For beginners with the World of Warcraft online role-playing game, some explanation of certain trivia is necessary to be able to gain an in-depth analysis and appreciation of why the game attracts millions of participants worldwide.

World of Warcraft was created by Blizzard Entertainment and at first the company made little impact with its Warcraft: Orcs and Humans. With the creation of Warcraft 2: Tides of Darkness, however, its popularity dramatically dramatically increased. This second release in the video game series earned it much more recognition. A Comparison Between Renaissance and Classical Art

There are many similarities between Classical Art and Renaissance Art. The paintings look very real and most are based around Biblical stories and events with Angels interacting with humans.

Renaissance Art originally started in Italy around the 1400’s, but can be found in all parts of Europe including Spain, the Netherlands, Germany and France. Renaissance Art focuses on ancient traditions and religious subjects. Not only is it a form of art in paintings, sculptures and sketches, but many other architectural forms are still in existence today.

Art Universities teach extensive classes on Renaissance and Classical Art because it is an art that has never died. It has been around for centuries, and is still used in many applications today. A good Renaissance painting will grab your attention, and hold it for a very long time, because of its beauty, natural colors and elements, and the story it tells.

Leonardo Di Vinci, Lorenzo Ghiberti, Donatello and Michelangelo were some of the most famous artists from this time. Several of their creations are still viewable across Europe. The Baptist and Catholic churches and Cathedrals display many startling a beautiful works like the Alter Piece of the Mystical Lamb, the ceiling painted in the Sistine Chapel and the Assumption of the Virgin. Many of the pulpits in these churches are painted or carved in the Renaissance fashion.

Leonardo Di Vinci became famous for his Renaissance pieces of the Mona Lisa and the Last Supper. Lower country artists include Jan Van Eyck, Hubert Van Eyck, Robert Campin, Hans Memling, and Hugo van der Goes. While these artists did not work toward reviving antiquity in their paintings, mainly staying with the Medieval style, they were beautiful and comparable to the famous artists as well.

    Defining Abstract Art

The term "abstract art" is like the term "modern music" in the sense that it is a very broad umbrella sheltering a wide variety of art. But like "abstract math," the general sense of the term is that it is the opposite of the concrete, or "realism." At one end of the continuum is a painting of a violin so perfectly rendered that we feel we could reach into the frame, pick up the instrument, and play it. At the other end is a canvas painted pure white or black all over. There is nothing in it to reach in and touch.

A simple, common definition of "abstract art" is "not realistic." Yet many artists who call their work abstract, actually do have a subject in mind when they paint. They take a figure or landscape and simplify it, exaggerate it, or stylize it in some way. They are not trying to imitate nature, but to use nature as a starting off point. Color, line, and form are more important to them than the details of the actual subject matter. They want to give a sense or feel for the subject rather than an exact replication.

Historically, the term "abstract" has been associated with a variety of art movements. The Cubism of Picasso, Braque and Cezanne was a geometric abstraction. In the United States, a group also known as the New York school of action painters was defined by critics as "abstract expressionists." Yet the individuals in this group varied greatly in their approaches. Jackson Pollock did overall drip paintings. Mark Rothko painted shimmering color field canvases based on a simple square pattern. Willem de Kooning did not abandon subject matter like the others, but abstained the female figure in much of his work.

Art that has no intentional beginnings in any subject matter is sometimes referred to as "non-objective," or "non-representative." A related term is "minimalism," or the tendency to take as much away from the painterly surface of the canvas as possible. A white square painted on a white background is an example of minimalism. The end result is not so much the point as the daring it took to get there.

"Modern art" is another term commonly used to refer to abstract art, although originally this term was used to differentiate the experimenters of the twenty century from the traditional European painters and sculptors. Thus, "modern art" began over seventy years ago, and is no longer new. Many movements in art have come and gone since then. For example, "pop art" incorporates popular culture such as comics and movie stars. Well-known artists of this genre include Andy Warhol, who painted Campbell's soup cans and portraits of Marilyn Monroe; and Jasper Johns, who did a series of flag paintings.

"Contemporary art" is another one of those terms that covers a wide variety of art. The best definition of "contemporary" is the work of any living artist, although the term has also been used to mean art that you would hang in a contemporary home. This sense of contemporary is more like the term "modern," in that it means the opposite of "traditional." Thus, "contemporary art" is also sometimes used to mean "abstract art."

Another way to define the term "abstract art" is to enter it as a search term on Google or Yahoo and look at the results. There will be millions of them, providing that the term is used today to cover a vast amount of art. I use the term "abstract art" to define my own painting because I know that people who love my art tend to define it this way. They often find me by entering the term on Google. Others use the term "modern art" or "contemporary art" to find me.

So where does that leave us in our definition of abstract art? Like most definitions of art movements, the answer is complex. We can look at it historically from an art critic's perspective, or use it as the general public would, to mean something other than traditional realistic representation.

Techniques on Painting and Painting Tips

The following techniques on painting should help you to create beautiful artwork. I suggest that you practice on something other than your final painting. A pad of canvas paper works great for practice space. Yes, you will make mistakes and paintings that you simply are not happy with. The goal of this article is to give you some techniques on painting so that you can make fewer of those mistakes and that you will love all of your paintings! You'll find as you practice just how easy it is to make images using acrylic paints and a brush.

    Tips for painting trees

When painting trees and tree branches, I first use a round brush to paint in the main trunk; then I use a smaller brush to add branches and finally a script liner to add the smallest branches. Some of the branches should overlap each other. If you are adding leaves or foliage, do not stress over the branches because many of them will be covered up anyways. Always remember that you are painting the "indication" of items in a painting. So when it comes to branches, just paint the indication of them!

To paint pine trees, use a fan brush. Start by holding the fan brush vertically to dab in the trunk of the tree. One reason that I do this is so that I have a nice vertical point to base my tree on. Then use the flat side of the fan brush to dab in branches. The branches do not need to be even or symmetrical and will actually look unreal if they are too perfect.

    Other techniques on painting nature

To paint rocks, start with a solid under-painting. Purples, blues, and some burnt sienna or browns work well. Round the tops of the rocks and keep the bases flat. Now with a dirty white color, paint over some of the under-painting. Let some of the dark show through. You can add just a tiny touch of orange or yellows for highlights as well.

Painting birds requires nothing more than a small amount of paint on a small detail brush and then small, v-shaped objects. Because these birds are often added as finishing detail to the background, the birds themselves do not require much detail at all. They can be made using whatever blend of colors complements the picture you are painting

For dew or rain drops, with a color slightly lighter than the petal or leaf, paint an oval. This will be the center of the drop. With a color slightly darker than the petal or leaf, paint a half moon in the top portion of the oval and a half moon under the oval. With pure white add just a touch of highlight on the top of the oval. On the drops that are just about to drip, do not paint the bottom oval. With pure white, pull down a couple tiny little rays of light.

When painting grass, under-paint the area where you will have the grass in a darker shade of green. Fill your brush with the green paint and use upward brush strokes. Use your No. 10 or No. 6 bristle brush. Add individual blades of grass in a lighter green shade (mix green with white or yellow to attain your desired color) and use a thinner brush or script brush to paint in blades of grass using upward strokes.

To add shadows: whenever you are painting a picture, even if there is no sun or light source represented in the painting, you need to consider what direction the light would be coming from. The surfaces of the objects in your paintings that would be hit by the light should be lighter, while the parts of the object in shadow should be darker.

These are just a few techniques on painting and painting tips that may help you develop wonderful artwork. I hope your paintings benefit from it.
